Misys' Clive Pedder turns up at GL Trade

Clive Pedder - one of the high-profile casualties from the restructuring of Misys' banking systems business last year - has resurfaced at French trading systems vendor GL Trade.

GL Trade says it has appointed Pedder, 50, as the CEO of its London Northern Europe business unit.

The French vendor says Pedder joins from Misys where he held the positions of CEO asset management systems, CEO wholesale banking systems and most recently COO core banking systems.

Pedder joined Misys in November 2003 from wholesale banking systems firm MPCT Solutions where he was president and CEO. MPCT was acquired by New York-based data management and analytics software house Aleri in February 2002.

Pedder's earlier career included sales, business development and management positions at Hewlett-Packard and Tandem Computers, focused on the financial markets technology sector. He was subsequently involved in the development of European technology markets including Le Nouveau Marché, Neuer Markt and EURO.NM and was a member of the management board of Easdaq prior to its sale to Nasdaq.
