Dublin-based banking technology vendor, Eontec is set to expand into the German retail financial services market.
At the centre of Eontec's plans is the opening of a new office in Frankfurt to support project management and sales operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Frankfurt is also to be the location for Eontec's next series of Enterprise Java banking briefings scheduled to take place in May 2001.
Banking is one of the most dynamic growth sectors within Germany, says Martin Purdy, executive vice president business development at Eontec. The country "is at the forefront of innovation and there is a clear market for flexible niche solutions which utilise the latest technology," he adds.
