Nokia lines up Entrust and 724 for PKI partnership

Texas-based e-finance solutions provider, Entrust Technologies is to become a premier reseller of the recently-launched Nokia Activ Signet solution for secure mobile commerce. Entrust says it will market the product to its enterprise public key infrastructure (PKI) customers, including banks, brokerage houses and insurance companies.

The combined Nokia and Entrust product offerings will uniquely address end-to-end mobile commerce security requirements, say the companies.

Nokia has additionally announced a partnership to deploy Activ Signet within the 724 Solutions Financial Services Platform.

The Nokia Activ Signet solution offers secure mobile transactions with user-friendly enrollment and authentication. It is based on open standards and technologies, including WAP specification 1.2, WIM (Wireless Identity Module) and Wireless PKI and has been integrated with Entrust toolkits and tested for interoperability with Entrust products.
