Nyse's hybrid market combines fast on-screen dealing systems with traditional floor-based market-making.

Following regulatory approval from the SEC, Nyse says its hybrid system will be expanded to include all Nyse-listed securities by early January, from the current 262.

Since launching the system in October Nyse has been steadily adding new listings to its hybrid platform. The exchange said last month that the number of trades executed electronically on its market had tripled since the introduction of the hybrid platform.
