Pan-European exchange Euronext has signed a three year contract with French IT services firm Atos Origin for the hosting and technical maintenance of its Web sites and corporate intranet. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The French vendor says Euronext is responding to increases in traffic volumes across its public and corporate Web sites which have seen a 40% increase in pages viewed since the end of 2005.
Under the deal Atos Worldline will manage the hosting of all Euronext Web sites on a dedicated platform.
Commenting on the deal, Gilles Tréhin, who is in charge of Internet infrastructures at Euronext, says Atos was able to meet service quality and continuity requirements.
"The expertise of our partner in dedicated hosting and its ability to consistently meet the requirements and expectations of strategic players in the operation and maintenance of their Web sites, will enable us to face the major increase in traffic volumes across our web sites and meet our targets for the growth of our Internet-based services," says Tréhin.
