European derivatives exchange Euronext.liffe is to use BT Radianz's proximity service to provide its clients with low latency direct market access to electronic trading platform Liffe Connect.
Firms that trade on Euronext.liffe using Liffe Connect will have the option of hosting their trading engines at the BT Radianz hosting facility in London to achieve the lowest execution time and avoid the natural latency that occurs when trading over distance.
Paul MacGregor, director, technology partnerships, Euronext.liffe, says: "The BT Radianz solution for the Liffe Connect service will benefit our customers by offering super-fast, efficiently-delivered, hosted trading solutions to Euronext.liffe. Radianz Proximity Solution allows us to reach a wider and more diverse customer base."
Launched in the New York-area in 2005 and expanded to Europe and Asia in 2006, the Radianz Proximity Solution provides low latency connectivity to major market data and execution venues. In addition to access to Euronext.liffe, firms that host their servers with BT Radianz will be able reach any of the nearly 50 other exchanges connected to BT Radianz.
Chris Church, EVP, global sales, BT Radianz, says: "By providing our members with access to the Liffe Connect service over BT Radianz shared market infrastructure and hosting facilities, we are addressing the demands for lower cost alternatives for clients to access the world's most liquid exchanges in the shortest time possible."
