Goldman launches one-stop shop for institutional cash managers

Goldman Sachs Asset management has launched a Web site designed to deliver a full suite of research, trade and execution services for institutional cash managers.

The Web site (globalcash.gs.com) provides institutional clients with access to money market funds from Goldman Sachs, a selection of non-proprietary funds, direct securities, foreign exchange and research and resources.

"Goldman Sachs global cash services enables institutions to transact and obtain information on their cash investments in one single Web destination with user-friendly navigation tools," says James McNamara, managing director, director of institutional fund sales.

Non-proprietary money market fund families available include: BlackRock, Dreyfus and Federated Investors. Additional funds as well as other site enhancements are slated to be added in the next several weeks, says McNamara.

Visitors to the site can obtain product information and effect transactions in three cash management vehicles: institutional money market funds, direct securities and foreign exchange. Money market fund transactions are executed in real-time. Direct securities such as treasuries and agencies are priced real-time with auto-execution of fixed income and equity products via Goldman Sachs WebET electronic trading platform. Clients can also execute real-time foreign currency transactions.
