The contract covers the delivery of a multi-media capable next-generation network for HSBC's UK business operations at more than 2200 sites, which will replace the existing legacy network.

Tim Cureton, group head of telecommunications at HSBC says the new network will enable the bank to deliver "a variety of IP enhanced services for our customers".

"Thus has had a proven next-generation network in place for some years. This gives confidence that Thus technically is the right company to support us in the UK," adds Cureton.
