Bluegarden, Norway's largest payroll processor, was also involved in the development of the platform.

The new Internet banking system is aimed at small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and allows users to to access ERP, payroll and accounting applications via a single interface.

Morten Bjornsen, director of Fokus Bank, comments: "Our customers are increasingly demanding additional services from the bank, and more Web-based functionality. By partnering with 24SevenOffice, we have raised the bar for what is possible through the Internet."

Oslo-based 24SevenOffice says the system will enable it to reach Fokus Bank's existing 200,000 customers in Norway, as well as potentially paving the way for growth with Fokus' parent company, Danske Bank.

"Through this single offering, a customer can manage not only his bank account, but also manage all his daily accounting, payroll, CRM, and reporting functions in real time, through a single sign on," says Stian Rustad, 24SevenOffice CEO. "Since these tasks are linked to his existing bank account, all receivables and payables, as well as payroll, can be automatically generated."
