Norwich Union says eBay's 15 million UK customers will be able to click through to the insurance centre via a series of ads featured throughout the eBay Web site.

EBay users will be able to use the co-branded insurance hub to access information on motor, home and travel insurance, obtain quotes and buy insurance via a click-through to the Norwich Union Direct site.

Mark Godfrey, from Norwich Union Direct, says: "We're offering eBay's users quick and easy access to insurance information and quotes via our online insurance centre and we feel confident that this partnership will prove to be very successful."

Norwich Union says the new partnership follows the success of a scheme that offers seven days' free insurance for cars bought on eBay's car sales site.
