Swiss German derivatives exchange Eurex has appointed Michael Peters as global head of sales.
Peters joins Eurex from Scandinavian trading technology vendor and exchange operator OMX where he has been responsible for strategic initiatives and major international projects for stock exchanges and clearing organisations.
Prior to joining OMX in 2001 Peters spent nine years in various management positions in sales, marketing and as a project manager for Deutsche Börse, as well as for Eurex and its forerunner, DTB. His posts included head of Xetra market development, manager of the representative office in London and implementation manager for the Xetra trading system.
In his new role Peters will work on the executive boards of Eurex Zürich and Eurex Frankfurt.
