Teradata says it has been selected to build a centralised data warehouse platform which will replace a number of data marts which were deployed during the inital developement of the bank's IT infrastructure.

In a one-year implementation period, Teradata says the enterprise platform will help CEB integrate data from its core business, personal loan, international settlement, credit risk management and accounting management systems.

At the same time, the data warehouse will provide CEB's management with effective decision support and improve business analysis and management and the quality of customer services.

Randy Wang, general manager of Teradata China, comments: "We are pleased that CEB placed emphasis on the role of centralizing and leveraging data, which is the foundation for a successful enterprise data warehouse."
