Dallas-based online brokerage Mydiscountbroker.com has formed an alliance with Chicago's Myfuturesonline.com to provide futures brokerage services to private investors.
James Curley, president of Myfuturesonline.com says: "There is a double-digit annual growth rate in online futures trading with the greatest growth in stock-index futures volume. We believe online futures volume will grow at even larger rates with the launch later this year of single stock futures contracts."
Single stock futures contracts were recently launched in London for trading on twenty-five stocks including Microsoft, Cisco and Intel. Trading is scheduled to begin on the US futures exchanges later this year.
