Multi-bank foreign exchange trading portal FXall has hired former Instinet technology head Andrew Banhidi as its new chief technology officer (CTO).
Based in New York, Banhidi will join FXall's senior management team and will be responsible for overall technology strategy, system architecture and development, engineering, production services and quality assurance.
Banhidi has more than 15 years experience in electronic trading, most recently as executive vice president – chief technology officer at Instinet where he spearheaded the development and deployment of the firm's trading and trade processing systems.
He joined Instinet from Merrill Lynch, where he was CTO of the bank's Japan division before becoming global director of trading services.
Prior to Merrill Lynch, Banhidi spent six years in a variety of senior technology roles for Goldman Sachs in New York and London.
