Market data technology vendor Gissing Software has appointed Kevin Iraca, formerly of Thomson Financial, as managing director of its New York office, as it seeks to grow its business in the US markets.
Iraca's appointment comes as Gissing looks to add business development and sales capabilities to its technically-focussed US team.
At Thomson, Iraca was employed as vice president for real-time content and previously worked for Bloomberg as a global data manager.
The expansion in the US comes on the back of a 40% hike in the company's workforce during 2005.
The privately-held firm - which claims some 40 global installations of its market data routing and transformation technology - has also reshuffled its UK staff, with the appointment of Mike Hill as marketing director, Graham Legg as director of support and development; and redisignation of Peter McKenna from marketing director to sales director.
