Atlanta-based SPI Dynamics develops and markets Web application security technologies that meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards.

Visa says SPI's technology helps ensure that electronic commerce interactions are secure by identifying any Web application security issues. The vendor's security assessment and testing products enable collaboration among developer, quality assurance and security professionals to efficiently build, test and deploy secure Web applications and services.

Brian Cohen, president and CEO, SPI Dynamics, comments: "Because we are able to offer security risk management tools that incorporate compliance requirements, we can better meet the unique needs of the electronic payments industry."

Patrick Gauthier, senior vice president, innovation, Visa International, says: "SPI Dynamics offers innovative solutions for more secure Web applications and are able to integrate industry requirements, which is critical to Visa, our member financial institutions, online merchants and consumers."

Visa says it has also added SPI Dynamics to its strategic global alliance programme.
