UK banking group Lloyds TSB is to shift more back office functions to India under a five-year extension of its BPO deal with UK-based IT services firm Xansa.
Details are sketchy, but Xansa says the renewed contract will see it take on more of the bank's back office processes.
Commenting on the deal, Ian Thompson, director of group operational services, Lloyds TSB, says: "It's crucial that we focus on providing the right service to our customers in a cost efficient way. Our partnership with Xansa expands our Indian capability and provides greater flexibility to our service operations."
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
