Merrill Lynch has selected New York-based Wombat Financial Software to provide the market data infrastructure for its next generation electronic trading platform.
Wombat says the bank has selected its low-latency market data software to support its new e-trading infrastructure. Merrill Lynch is one of a number of big banks looking to redevelop their market data infrastructure to take advantage of new e-trading technologies.
As it builds the next generation platform, Merrill Lynch says it has fostered strong relationships with technology companies like Wombat.
Andy Brown, MD and chief technology architect, Merrill Lynch, says: "In choosing Wombat as a strategic partner, we benefit from working with an agile market-leading technology provider in a business undergoing rapid change."
