Banca Intesa, the largest banking group in Italy, has contracted with California-based Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for the supply of outsourced IT services.
Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will be the preferred applications provider for Banca Intesa, supplying systems design and integration, architecture, application development and management support of both custom and packaged software.
The vendor will provide all the services from its network of delivery centers in Milan, Italy, as well as others around the world.
Massimo Del Vecchio, application systems manager of Banca Intesa IS Direction, says: "This agreement will ensure our operational success in support of our customers, improve our cost/performance ratio and significantly benefit the business."
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
