UBS Investment Bank has licensed Chicago-based Townsend Analytics' direct access trading platform, RealTick, which it will roll out across its electronic execution and prime services divisions.
Townsend says the system will provide UBS clients with access to trade and view real-time data on equities, futures, options, forex and fixed income instruments from a single platform.
Traders will be able to employ a range of strategies including algorithmic and basket trading and to fully control specialty order types including conditional, reserve, discretionary, pegged, stop and seamlessly integrated worked orders.
Tim Wildenberg, head of electronic execution, UBS Investment Bank, says: "In addition to enjoying cross-asset class trading capabilities, execution quality data and unsurpassed execution management functionality, our clients will have the ability to access UBS Investment Bank's proprietary suite of algorithms to maximize execution opportunities or use the native algorithms offered by RealTick."
The deal is an extension of existing FX trading services Townsend provides to the bank.
