The product offers a simulated securities trading environment that operates across a spectrum of Web and wireless devices. Users can practice buying and selling securities, trading options and even short-selling equities in a risk-free environment says the company. Individuals can also create personalised watch lists, monitor news and research feeds and check their investment performance against other users.

The software operates across an array of devices and networks including Web-based PC's and mobile handsets and PDAs.

Jeffrey Whitehill, vice president of marketing at SmartServ, says: "This is a terrific way for individuals to increase their knowledge of the financial markets while gaining comfort and familiarity with powering transactions over mobile devices."

The company is showcasing Wireless WallStreet at Internet World Wireless 2001 in New York this week.
