The Personal Banking application will be supplied and implemented by Siemens Business Service (SBS), which manages all operational, administrative and IT services for NS&I.

The product provides Web banking customers with online enrollment, 24-hour access to account activity, funds transfer and bill payment.

S1 says the new system, which will run on its Enterprise platform, will enable NS&I to build improved online services and enhance after-sales customer service through multi-channel capabilities.

Joe Dall, head of e-business at NS&I, says: "Online sales have increased significantly over the past twelve months as new and existing customers choose to save and invest online with NS&I.

"S1 Personal Banking will enable us to further improve our Internet capabilities by allowing our customers to manage their accounts online."
