Danish online investment bank Saxo has recruited Peter Klein, former head of Commonwealth Bank of Australia's e-FX sales division in Europe, to head its new office in London.
Klein was previously head of European e-FX client acquisition at Commonwealth Bank.
Prior to this, he worked for eight years at institutional FX platform EBS, where he held senior sales positions in Sweden, the UK, and Australia.
Commenting on the opening of the London office, Lars Seier Christensen, CEO, Saxo Bank, says the focus of the new operation will be exclusively on the institutional market to begin with. The new London operations will make it easier for the bank to expand its institutional sales and account management activities, he says.
