UK banking group Barclays has appointed Morgan Stanley's Sandeep Chouhan as its new senior technology officer and head of technology at its international retail and commercial banking business.
Chouhan was previously chief technology officer (CTO) at Morgan Stanley's international consumer banking group.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Chouhan held a number of roles at Citigroup's global consumer banking unit, including assistant VP and head of retail banking systems, and VP and head of credit card systems. His most recent role at Citigroup was SVP and head of global support units, global consumer bank, Emea.
The appointment comes a month after the bank appointed former Citigroup CTO Dominic Trotta as its new chief information officer.
The bank has also hired Washington Mutual veteran Deanna Oppenheimer to help with the revamp of its retail banking services in the UK.
