First Data Corporation has appointed former JPMorgan Chase technology executive David Dibble as its chief technology officer (CTO).
Dibble, 45, most recently served as managing director in the JPMorgan Chase technology organisation, where he was responsible for defining and implementing a global data centre strategy as well as critical system integration projects associated with acquisitions.
Prior to this he was at Charles Schwab where he led the design and engineering of trading and inquiry systems.
In his new role, Dibble will be responsible for all of First Data's IT development activities. He will join the company's executive management team on 1 October and report directly to Charlie Fote, chairman and CEO.
First Data says Guy Battista remains its chief information officer.
