SunGard has appointed Deborah Mittelman as senior vice president of compliance and product management at its Brass business unit.
Mittelman was most recently technology compliance officer at electronic broker Instinet with responsibility for ensuring that the ECN's products were compliant with industry regulations.
She also spent 12 years at Goldman Sachs where she was responsible for various equities-related technology efforts, including Nasdaq, prime brokerage and institutional sales systems.
Her responsibilities at Brass include the role of regulation NMS programme leader, which involves facilitating a new user group to help customers prepare for implementation of the new rules. She will also be responsible for the Brass management and compliance solution.
