Ion, which provides dealing systems for electronic fixed income markets, says the acquisition is in line with its aim to provide integrated components that streamline all aspects of front-office trading while reducing deployment, maintenance and integration costs.

Andrea Pignataro, CEO and founder of Ion, says: "We view the pricing functionality of finvision's software, designed specifically for European fixed-income market-makers, as highly complementary to our trading and quoting products."

Under the deal finvision's co-founders Jens Kramer and Markos Mouzouris will remain as directors of the acquired business and join the Ion management team.

Earlier this month Ion also acquired Aurora Software, New York-based supplier of fixed-income dealing systems.
