Consulting and systems integration firm BearingPoint has appointed Alan Jenkins as head of MiFID within its London-based financial services team.
Jenkins has previously worked both as an independent consultant and for firms including CapGemini and Morgan Grenfell.
He has substantial experience in global financial markets operations, risk and IT and areas related to straight-through processing, Basel II, ISO 15022/20022 and the EU's new Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID).
In his new role Jenkins will assume responsibility for representing BearingPoint at the MiFID Joint Working Group, as well as continuing to be involved in a number of other industry groups, the Securities Institute, and as a UK Representative on the ISO 20022 Securities SEG (Standards Evaluation Group).
