The vendor teamed with technical consultancy Finalist to develop the Java-based MarketXSPro for Blackberry application, which will deliver personal portfolios, news, charts and alerts over the popular wireless devices.

Subscribers will be able to access market data from global exchanges including Euronext, LSE, Deutsche Börse, Eurex, Xetra, Nyse and Nasdaq, and indices including DJ Stoxx, FTSE and Euronext. Users can also opt to use proprietary data.

MarketXSPro for BlackBerry is available as a hosted or deployed system and customers are able to choose their own operator and/or service provider. The vendor says future releases of the application will include other sources of data available on the PC version of MarketXSPro.

Commenting on the launch, Ronald Kleinveld, MD, MarketXS, says there has been "an increasing demand from our customers recently for a professional mobile solution for investors, traders and investment managers".

Earlier this month UK-based vendor Knowledge Technology Solutions teamed with mobile telecoms operator O2 to launch a real-time wireless market data service based on its MarketTerminal application.
