Generation Investment Management, an asset management firm established by former US vice president Al Gore and ex-head of Goldman Sachs Asset Management David Blood, has installed Charles River Development's investment management system (IMS) at its operations in London.
Charles River says the integrated platform, which includes its portfolio management, order management and compliance monitoring applications, was implemented within a tight three-week timeframe prior the launch of a new fund.
Commenting on the implementation, Peter Harris, COO, Generation Investment Management, says: "We are able to easily manage our pre-trade compliance, portfolio modelling, execution and reconciliation all from one system."
Generation also has an office in Washington and plans to open a new operation in Melbourne. Harris says as the company grows it intends to expand its use of the Charles River system.
