Data management technology vendor Asset Control has appointed David Hirschfeld as senior vice president of operations.
Hirschfeld was most recently managing director of enterprise data services at US hedge fund and Asset Control customer Citadel Investment Group.
He joins Asset Control after a career of more than two decades in capital markets operations, technology, research and trading. His previous roles include first vice president and CTO of the enterprise data standards initiative at Merrill Lynch, principal of the market data group at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, and member and staff economist of the Chicago Board of Trade.
Hirschfeld was the founder and CEO of Tudor Software, which developed analytical software for hedge funds, and also served as a senior executive of Powers Research Inc, a consulting and development firm specialising in capital markets technology.
He also served as a director of Iverson Financial Systems prior to its acquisition by Capco.
