Savvis has recruited former SwiftNet FIX development head Matt Fox to lead its financial services strategy.
Fox, who left the banking industry co-operative Swift last month, has been named vice president, financial services in charge of Savvis's financial services business. Savvis currently has over 5000 enterprise customers including many of the world's largest banks, brokers, investment managers, insurance companies.
Fox joined Swift from Global Crossing in 2002 with a brief to extend the utility's influence in the FIX-based front end messaging space. His departure coincided with a switch in focus from development to sales of the SwiftNet FIX hub.
At Savvis he will be responsible for growing the network's share of front office data delivery, management and workflow services.
