Revere appoints Nasdaq's Glen Wolyner CEO

Glen Wolyner, a former senior vice presdent at Nasdaq, has been named chief executive officer of San Francisco-based market data vendor Revere.

Wolyner joined Nasdaq last year to head up the transaction services group and was one of the first appointments made by Robert Greifeld, who took over as Nasdaq CEO in May 2003.

Wolyner is a former chief executive of trading technology vendor FlexTrade. He was also was one of the original staffers at Bloomberg Financial Markets, where he spent 15 years in various senior management roles.

At Revere, Wlyner takes over the CEO role from Michael Engmann, although Engmann will remain company chairman. Kevin O'Brien will continue as Revere's chief operating officer.
