The bank will use the technology to capture more than 700,000 documents per day. InputAccel is a document capture system that converts data from paper and faxes into a format which can be used in back-end systems.

FNB says application forms, cheques and other transaction documents will be scanned and submitted to the bank's central network for processing and storage.

Mark Lewis, Captiva's VP of EMEA operations, says "FNB desired an end-to-end input management system to replace its parallel cheque processing and document management systems. With InputAccel, FNB will be able to completely streamline the processing of its documents."
