State Bank of India (SBI) is deploying Infosys Technologies' core banking software, Finacle, across its global operations.
The bank will deploy the Finacle core banking, e-banking and treasury applications across its operations in 20 countries.
Shri A K Purwar, Chairman, SBI, says the tecxhnology will support the bank's plans to increase its offerings across the globe.
Infosys says its Finacle platform will replace a number of disparate systems at SBI. The system will also provide the bank with a unified view of its international business.
The implementation is expected to be completed in 12 months.
