Apama's suite of Trading Strategy Management technologies will be used by traders on the bank's futures and options desks to take advantage of real-time opportunities for arbitrage and program trading.

Alison Pothier, global head of electronic trading for futures & options at JPMorgan, says the technology will be used to lower the cost and time to roll out new trading strategies both for internal users and customers on the open market.

"As an engine, Apama is an enabler allowing JPMorgan to leverage its investment in global trading connectivity to provide advanced modelling and execution services," she says.
