CDC IXIS Asset Management of France is set to use LatentZero's Sentinel package for pre- and post-trade real-time compliance management.
LatentZero was selected following a series of week-long on-site trials of three short-listed vendors. The system is being used to update protfolio managers with the latest information on client guidelines and regulatory rules both before and after each trade.
Pierre Olivier-Salnot, risk manager at CDC IXIS AM, says the firm views compliance checking as an essential element of operational risk management.
"We wanted to put robust risk management controls in place to deal with the growing number of demanding regulations and increasingly complex client mandates," he explains "Furthermore we were looking for a system able to integrate with the portfolio-manager's decision support tools, so as to prevent potential breaches even before a trade is input in our order management systems."
