Barclaycard will use ClarityBlue's customer intelligence platform to consolidate data from across the enterprise in order to provide a single view of each retailer and business customer. The firm will use this data to tailor services and marketing communications to specific customers.

ClarityBlue says the data will also enable Barclaycard to provide targeted support services to retailers that are struggling to adjust to regulatory changes and the switch to chip and PIN technology.

Mark Evans, managing director, Barclaycard Corporate, says: "The ClarityBlue Platform gives us an even greater level of insight into what our retailer and business customers really need.

"The new system will ensure that all our operations, from product development to marketing campaigns, are focussed entirely on fulfilling these needs, which in turn will provide real benefits to our business as a whole."
