The Sanchez Broker To Go system will provide CIBC Wood Gundy's 1400 sales advisors with access to real-time market data integrated with client, account and position information over the Blackberry Handheld.

By linking to CIBC Wood Gundy's back-office and using existing news and quote services, the software provides wireless access to client profiles and portfolios, a news database, customisable watch lists, search capabilities and a real-time alert engine for instant notification of news and quote changes.

The software is deployed on either the BlackBerry 6710 or 6280 Wireless Handheld, both of which offer integrated data and voice services. The mobile data service feature of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server enables secure access to Broker To Go data using Triple DES encryption.

Gord Conlin, president of Fidelity's wealth management division, says: "As wireless technology becomes increasingly pervasive, enabling advisors direct access to essential, time-sensitive information from a BlackBerry Wireless Handheld is extremely compelling."

RIM has also contracted with Fidelity's recently acquired Sanchez subsidiary to supply support systems and resources, including technical training and co-marketing efforts, as well as BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds.
