PRI currently has 7500 merchant contracts and supplies technology for online credit card processing, ACH/cheque conversions, recurring billing and wireless processing.

TransFirst says the acquisition positions the company within the value-added sector of the US payments processing industry.

Thomas Rouse, CEO, TransFirst, adds: "PRI is strategically important to the growth of TransFirst's ISO Services division and the company's commitment to becoming a strong value-added reseller within the payment processing industry."

PRI is TransFirst's second acquisition this quarter - the firm bought Fifth Third Bank Processing Solutions' third party sales merchant division earlier this month. TransFirst says combined, the two acquisitions have more than doubled its size.
