Thomson Financial has teamed with Infinata, a Massachusetts-based provider of prospecting software, to launch Thomson Peer Group Analysis Professional (PGA Pro), a Web-based peer comparison tool.
Thomson PGA Pro enables users to quickly gauge how their products compare to the competition using 50 of the most comprehensive peer universes available for the institutional investment marketplace.
With access to the Nelson Investment Manager Database, users are able to analyse current and historical information including performance rankings, upper/lower quartiles and risk/reward scattergrams.
In addition, Thomson PGA Pro also provides a window into the competition's top ten equity holdings. This enables users to compare their portfolio weightings to the overall market. Current Nelson MarketPlace subscribers will be able to link directly to detailed product profiles from within PGA Pro.
