Spanish banking group Banco Popular Español (BPE) is installing Fundtech's payments processing system Global PAYplus.
BPE will use the platform to replace its existing payments systems and to consolidate processes on to one platform.
The bank will also use Global PAYplus to to comply with changing requirements for euro processing and Swift messaging and to provide customised payments services to corporate clients.
Michael Sgroe, chief operating officer, Fundtech, says: "In today's highly competitive markets, banks must be able to offer their clients customised services with a high level of efficiency."
