Thomson Financial Solutions has partnered wireless company Digital Mobility to provide a secure WAP-based platform for trading European equities.
The wireless trading functionality is to be offered to Thomson GlobalTOPIC customers. Users will be able to hook up via WAP, or other forthcoming wireless communication technologies such as GPRS, UMTS or G3 says Thomson.
Tim Bowman, wireless consultant at TF Solutions says: "This enables us to offer a genuinely exclusive and secure wireless trading platform. It allows real-time access to information from Extel, Worldscope, Datastream and all the other Thomson Financial content-providing companies - wherever you are in the world - even when you're on the move."
