Pittsburg-based PNC Bank is installing NCR's image archiving and retrieval system, ImageMark Archive, to electronically store and access cheque images.
PNC will use the entire ImageMark Archive suite of software, hardware, maintenance and professional services to support its in-house cheque image archive.
The bank will use the package to receive and manage several million items a day at its two locations in Pittsburgh, as well as to provide imaging applications to its corporate and retail clients.
Commenting on the product, Douglas Arnold, manager of operations, PNC Bank, says: "This should make our operations more efficient while preparing our bank for cheque truncation.".
