US community banking association ICBA has selected Advanced Financial Solutions (AFS) as its recommended provider of in-house cheque and document imaging systems to its member firms.
Oklahoma-based AFS will offer ICBA members its ImageVision prodcut, a Windows NT-based system that supports electronic capture, encoding and clearing of cheques and other items.
Gary Nelson, president and CEO of AFS, says: "While cheques remain the predominant form of payment in our country, new image-based electronic solutions that change the way payments are made, processed and collected are now available from AFS."
ICBA says its research shows that 39% of community financial institutions plan to evaluate cheque-imaging applications this year.
The association selected AFS from a list of over 20 other vendors.
