SunGard Market Data Services has launched its investment research aggregation and distribution system, PowerData Research Platform.
The PowerData Research Platform aggregates multiple content sources to create a single data repository.
The system currently processes content from sources such as First Call and Zacks, as well as the proprietary research from existing clients, although the system can be configured to process new sources of research and ontent can be received in multiple formats, including XML, Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF files.
All research stored is categorised and indexed by symbol, company name and industry. Content is accessed via a Web-based front-end application that can be added to sites or desktops.
Janet Crowley, executive vice president of SunGard Market Data Services, says: "Many of our clients and prospects have expressed the need for a specialised, research-specific version of this product to help them quickly implement and distribute new research sources. PowerData Research Platform was designed to address that need."
The platform is available both for in-house implementation and on an application service provider (ASP) basis.
