California-based FutureTrade Technologies has acquired options trading and execution platform Augend Technologies.
FutureTrade will use the Augend platofrm to provide customers with direct trade execution of options on the ISE, AMEX, CBOE, PCX and PHLX options exchanges.
As part of the deal, Jim Haile, principal of Augend, joins FutureTrade as vice president, options.
Murray Finebaum, chief executive officer, FutureTrade, says the Augend options trading platform allows FutureTrade to provide clients with an integrated and comprehensive platform with access to major points of liquidity.
"The integration of Augend's options technology with the FutureTrade platform provides real-time quotes, determines the NBBO and points to the best market," says Finebaum.
