Sparkassen Informatik delivers IT services to over 278 banks across Germany, and offers interbank messaging through a Swift service bureau. Under the agreement, Stelink's EAI application will replace the existing mainframe infrastructure to provide users with shared SwiftNet messaging services.

Sterci says its Stelink system can process up to 120,000 messages per hour. The vendor will also provide Sparkassen Informatik with support services.

Klaus-Peter Koenig, area manager, foreign business, Sparkassen Informatik, says: "Transaction processing is performed using a standard and easy-to-use graphical user interface. New clients may be linked quickly and economically at low transaction cost per message."

The vendor is also partnering sister company Steria UK and Simplex Consulting to establish a Swift service bureau in London which will be based on its Stelink EAI product.
