CIBC has become the first major Canadian bank to introduce online authentication for cardholders shopping over the Internet.
The Verified by Visa service, which requires cardholders to punch in a secret PIN when paying for goods over ther Internet, is delivered by TSYS and powered by Cyota's SecureSuite.
Cyota has improved the software for the Canadian market to include bilingual support for CIBC's English- and French-speaking customers.
TSYS first integrated Cyota's SecureSuite platform with its CardGuard fraud services system in 2001.
