Baltimore Technologies is offering financial institutions a pre-configured and hosted Identrus solution designed to ease the technical burden for new entrants to the bank-sponsored trust network. The Dublin-based company claims to be the first vendor to gain interoperability compliance with Identrus Express - a fast-track programme for the rapid deployment of secure public key infrastructures.
Under the Express model, Baltimore will securely host its UniCERT PKI system, validation server and other required Identrus security components on behalf of member banks. In the near future similar solutions will be available from Baltimore's TrustedWorld partners, says the vendor.
Baltimore says its new solution enables financial institutions to have an Identrus system up and running within 90-120 days.
